Therapy & Services

Since 2011, we have established ourselves as a trusted and reputable practice in supporting children with communication concerns.

Our Approach

We connect with your child where they are in their communication stage, and understand your child’s strengths and challenges faced in communication

We build and develop upon your child’s strengths & specific needs – focusing not only on the speech-language and communication progress but also on holistic care and socio-emotional well-being of your child

We focus on cultivating a strong relationship with your child and family as we journey together in developing better communication skills

We incorporate play-based activities to engage your child and move on to more structured activities when appropriate

Our practices are evidence-based and we deliver consistent, high quality care

Where applicable, we incorporate the use of other forms of Augmentative & Alternative Communication (e.g., visual supports, Key Word Sign, Picture Exchange Communication System PECS) to help your child’s understanding and expression

We signpost you to the relevant professional(s) when applicable so that your child can access the right kind of support

Who We Support

Our niche focus areas include supporting children aged 18 months to 8 years old, who may exhibit difficulties with:

Attending and/or initiating-communicating

Pre-verbal communication / Early Language Skills

Understanding and/or expressing spoken language

Pronunciation and/or speech development (i.e. Speech-sound errors/Articulation-Phonological Disorders)
Reading and spelling

Emotional understanding and social awareness

At Happy Talk, we prioritise personalised quality care and believe in providing “in person” service. We provide individual therapy to your child unless recommended otherwise. Our belief is that therapy should be individualised and continually modified to meet your child’s needs.

We emphasise parent involvement in the process as we believe in the pivotal role families play in facilitating practice of skills with the child and generalisation into daily settings. Sessions are held at our child-friendly clinic space, that is located at NUH Medical Centre.
